Avio Vineyards, per l’amore di famiglia (for the love of family) embodies the spirit of Northern Italy, and is located just five minutes from downtown Sutter Creek. This estate winery is reminiscent of a traditional Tuscan farmstead and specializes in smooth Italian-style varietals. Come join our family and stay with us in our Carriage House or let us help you plan your event at Avio. Open Friday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and by appointment.

The Winery is located on Ridge Road, and was founded in 2003 by Stefano and Lisa Watson. Avio is named for the town in Northern Italy where Lisa’s family has lived and produced wine for generations. Set amidst hundreds of acres of rolling hills, vineyards and orchards, our estate is reminiscent of a traditional Tuscan farmstead.

We specialize in creating smooth Italian varietals. Most of which are estate grown such as Zinfandel, Pinot Grigio, Aglianico, Sangiovese, Syrah, Petite Syrah, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Orange Muscat.

Come stay with us in The Carriage House. This large one–room, western guest lodge is set amidst 77 acres of rolling hills and vineyards with views that will take your breath away. Enjoy a stroll through our extensive gardens or take a dip in the pool and enjoy a bottle of wine while watching the sunset. Amenities include: King Bed, Fireplace, TV, DVD, & CD player, separate kitchenette and complimentary bottle of wine.
