Professional artist David Hopman produces dazzling handblown vases and dinnerware of astonishing beauty displayed on two floors of an 1870s brewery building. Open Wednesday through Sunday. Glass-blowing demonstrations Saturday and Sunday.
Chaos owner David Hopman is described in a 2008 SUNSET magazine as an artist who, after a stint at Stanford University, “returned to Sutter Creek to create handblown vases and dinnerware of astonishing beauty.” He produces dazzling, hand-blowm glass plates, vases, jewelry, unique forms, and floor, table and hanging glass lamps. Hopman holds demonstrations each weekend exhibiting how he transforms molten glass into art works. His glass art is displayed on two levels in an 1870s brewery building, and his art has been showcased in various art studio tours. The business is open Wednesday through Friday, noon to 7 p.m., Saturday, 10 to 7 and Sunday 10 to 6.
