Chili Cook Off Timeline

Time	Event	Description
8:00 - 9:00 am	Cooks' Registration begins	Cooks will check in, be assigned their cooking site, and get set up for the day.
10:30 am	Head Cooks' Meeting	This will be a chance for last minute instructions, questions and review of procedures. Head Cooks only.
11:00 am	Chili Cooking Begins!	Stand Back! Enjoy the somewhat frantic beginning of preparations. Savor the smell of spices. Feel the anticipation build...
11:00 am	People's Choice chili tasting kits go on sale	Anyone wishing to taste the competition chilis will need a People's Choice Kit. They will go on sale at 11:00 o'clock.
11:05	People's Choice tasting begins!	The moment that MANY have been waiting for...if you've purchased a kit, get in line, taste as many chilis as you can; then cast your ballot for your favorite! In so doing, you'll help select the People's Choice Chili Champion!!!
2:00 pm	Hand In time for Chili Cooks!	Each chili team will deliver a bowl of their very best "Competition Chili" to the Judges' Tent. (Make sure you don't get run over by a crazed chili cook rushing their entry in....!!)
3:00 pm	Chili Awards begin	The Moment of Truth after all that effort -- the Judging Committee will carry the winning chilis to the stage, and only when the secret numbers taped to the sample bowls are opened will we learn who the winning cooks are. Be prepared for some surprises!
4:00 pm	Awards are over...	That's it for another year! Thanks for joining us -- better start planning how YOU can be involved in NEXT YEAR'S version of The Sutter Creek Chili Cookoff! May the Great Pepper be with you in the meantime....
